A graveside service will be held at the South Buxton Cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 11:00am where he will be laid to rest by Sylvia and Steven. Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton are in charge of the arrangements.
Obituary:
ELIOT – Stanley Edward Brown passed away on Friday evening, July 17, 2015 at Seal Rock Health Care, Saco. He was born in Fryeburg on March 16, 1933, the son of William and Leona Capron Brown.
He was brought up and attended school in Fryeburg, Maine. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force serving our country from 1953 to 1957. Stanley was a self-employed welder and fabricator for many years. He was well known for love of oxen pulling and his handcrafted yokes. In the 1980’s, he raised a buffalo and the family named his street Buffalo Lane to honor him.
He was predeceased by his first wife Ampara “Sylvia” Brown in 2008; a son Steven Brown in 2007; brothers Roger, Howard and Ernest, and a sister Barbara.
He is survived by his wife Bette Cole Brown of Eliot; his children - Lori Brown, Dwayne Brown and his wife Eulla, Stanley Brown and his wife Kim all of Buxton; a brother Gordon; 2 sisters Beverly and Judy; 5 grandchildren Conrad, Derek, Dylan, Stacy, and Peter; and 3 great grandchildren Dylan, Lily and Noelle.
