Obituary:
Buxton, John E. Cyr, Jr. 61 of Old Orchard Rd passed away July 14, 2015 on the Quarry Road in Limerick. He was born in Bangor Maine on October 10, 1953 the son of John and Charlotte Hill Wickett Cyr, Sr. He attended schools in Orono and later served in the US Navy.
John was a truck driver for many years working for North American Vanlines and other companies. He also worked with his grandfather and father in the asphalt business. While in Connecticut he worked for LaRossa Construction.
Moving back to Maine in 2007, he moved to the Saco area to assist helping his Uncle Don and Norma Shoemaker.
John enjoyed fishing with Stanley Young , spending time with his family and visiting Larry’s camp in Otis, Me.
Survivors include his wife Linda Cyr of Buxton, a son Shaun Wheelden and 2 steps son Troy and D’arcy Franklin, 2 daughters Tammy Cyr, Christine Wheldon and a step daughter Traci Franklin, God Son Brian Wasson, 2 sisters Sheila Cyr and Kim Crowley, and very special nieces Tina Holloway , Kaitlyn and Laura Crowley, Kimberly Babb and Lori Morgan and a nephew Danny Shoemaker.
