Obituary:
Herbert Douglas Record of Old Orchard Beach passed away in Biddeford on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born in Biddeford on April 4, 1927, the son of Wallace Ronella and Minnie Alberta (Carle) Record Sr. He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School. He served in the Merchant Marines as a cook for several years before joining the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He also worked for Saco-Lowell Shops and W.T. Grant in sales. In his retirement, he worked in maintenance for Saco-Biddeford Savings Bank. He was predeceased by his parents, former wife Ethel (Tabor) Record, brothers; Clayton, Arthur, Wallace Jr., Earl, Donald and Leroy and sisters; Mildred Danis, Gladys Pate-Simpson, Hazel Rogers, Arlene Coburn, June Michel, and Lorene Harmon. He is survived by his daughters; Sharon Henshaw of Eugene, OR and Linda Gynther of Sandy, OR; his best friend Janice Beety of Scarborough, ME, brother Paul of Waterboro and sister Doris Kemp of Dayton, OH.
