Obituary:
Saco - George William Drown, 79 of Stone St. in Biddeford passed away May 28, 2015 at the Evergreen Manor in Saco. He was born in Kennebunk, November 5, 1935 the son of George and Edna Wakefield Drown.
He graduated from Kennebunk High school in 1955.
He served in the US Marine Corps for 8 years and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post # 57 of Old Orchard Beach.
George worked as a machinist and also drove taxi in the Biddeford Saco area.
He enjoyed going to the Portland Seadogs with his son and also being a Red Sox and Patriots Fan.
Survivors include his wife Leona Jordon Drown of Biddeford, 2 sons William Chatman Drown and Richard Edmund Drown, both of Biddeford, 2 daughters Laurel Louise Gouin and Leona Lucille Boissonnealt of Biddeford, 3 sisters Ruth Holland of Sanford, Rose and Helen Drown of Biddeford, 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild due in July.
