There will be an hour of visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 10-11am, with a requiem service at 11am at the Dennett Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 13 Portland Road, Buxton. Burial will follow at the Dow’s Corner Cemetery, Cape Road, Standish.
Obituary:
Frances “Paquita” Grau passed away at her home May 22, 2015 with her family by her side. She was born on April 17, 1915 in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Francisco and Augustina Ortiz Melendez. She was educated in Puerto Rican schools. She and her husband Michael Grau immigrated to the United States in the 1930’s settling into the Bronx, New York City. She was a talented seamstress for many years and loved living in the big City. Frances moved to Maine in 2003 to live with her daughter.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1997.
She is survived by her son Sammy Colon, 2 daughters Frances Archevald and Nancy Ortiz, many brothers, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
