A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill (Deering Park) Cemetery in Saco on Tuesday May 12, 2013 at 1:00 PM, where he will join the love of his wife.
Pastor Michael Gray will officiate.

Obituary:
Carl Francis Gilbert, of Eden Lane passed away May 8, 2015 at the Seal Rock Healthcare Facility in Saco with his family by his side. He was born in Cornville, Maine on September 16, 1925, the son of Godfrey and Ella Bearce Gilbert.
During his youth he worked in farming and at various local dairies.
In 1957, he married L. Esther Allgrove and they later moved to Old Orchard Beach.
While in Old Orchard Beach, he was employed for many years as a lab technician for Oakhurst Dairy.
After retirement he worked for his son in laws, Mike Croteau, at Maine Mall Exxon.
His enjoyments included gardening, animals, his workshop and spending time with his 2 granddaughters “Sugar” and “Spice”.
He was a member of Orchard Masonic Lodge #215
Carl is predeceased by his wife L. Esther Gilbert in 2013 and brothers Albert , Stillman and Harold Gilbert.
Survivors include a daughter Pamela Croteau and her husband Mike of Old Orchard Beach, a brother G. John Gilbert of Skowhegan, 2 granddaughters Jessica Croteau of Saco and Jennifer Morin of Biddeford.
The family would like to thank Sue and Bob Descoteaux for their many selfless years of in-home care and the entire staff at Seal Rock Healthcare, and Peggy and Flo for their compassionate care of Carl.
