Obituary:
Ernest B. Noseworthy,
aged 84, passed away peacefully April 29, 2015 at his home in Hollis, ME with his wife of 59 years, Shirley Anne (Ansell), by his side. He was born in Malden, MA, the son of Ernest B. and Katherine H. (Basford). He attended schools in Saugus and Pepperell, MA before enlisting in the US Air Force in 1947.
He served as a flight engineer in the Pacific Air Weather Squadron for several years before moving into aircraft maintenance. He served at Bentwaters AFB in England as NCO in charge of aircraft maintenance scheduling for the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing until his retirement in 1968. He was subsequently employed by Digital Equipment for 18 years.
He was an avid PC “techie” and enjoyed sharing his hobby with dear friend George Fisher, with whom he talked “cutting edge technology”, enjoyed trips to computer shows, and shopping forays to tech stores. He enjoyed card games and had a keen sense of humor.
He is also survived by his daughter Paula Gardiner and David of Bradwell, England; his son David and Kathy (Engel) of Wolfeboro, NH; his sister Joan Carrick of Saugus, MA and her family.
