A graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco on Monday April 6th at 1:00PM. . Arrangements are with Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco. Beverly Lowell of the United Baptist Church will officiate. Memorial donations may be made in Bob’s honor to United Baptist Church, 318 Main Street, Saco, ME 04072.
Obituary:
Robert E. Wilbur passed away on March 29, 2015 at the Maine Veterans Home in Scarborough with his loving family by his side. Robert was born in Biddeford on
September 7, 1937, the son of Melvin E. and Isabelle Alexander Wilbur.
Bob was educated in Saco schools, graduating from Thornton Academy in 1957. During high school, he worked on the Merry-Go-Round for Palace Amusements in Old Orchard Beach. He served in the U. S. Marine Corp.
He is survived by his sister in law Selma Wilbur of Saco; 5 nieces Beverly Battle of Scarborough, Diane and her husband Richard Bartlett of Dayton, Lynne and her husband Marc Parent of Biddeford, Nancy Tracy of Bangor and Carol and her husband Gary Spinney of Rockland and other extended family members Frank Adams and his daughter Jane of Bucksport and Amy and Jared Goodness of Hollis.
