Obituary:
Ruth B. Polito passed away March 22, 2015 at the Shaw House in Biddeford. She was born on July 15, 1916 in Kennebunkport, the daughter of Frank and Mable Carll Bowley.
She attended Kennebunkport schools graduating from Kennebunk High School in 1936. Ruth worked at Kesslen Shoe for fifteen years before venturing out on her own as a self-employed seamstress for over 38 years. She retired in 1989 and moved to Biddeford, settling in Saco in 1992. Ruth was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Saco.
She loved to bowl, play bridge and make crafts.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Joseph Polito in 1975.
She is survived by her daughter Marlene Basinger of Biddeford, 4 grandchildren Darren, Stephen Jr, Brad and Chad and 7 great-grandchildren Maximus, Alyssa, Arianna, Jacob, Owen, Ella and Lily.
