Friends and family may call at the Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco on Thursday, February 5, 2014 evening from 5-7pm. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 6, 2014 at the First Parish Congregational Church, 12 Beach Street, Saco. Spring burial will take place at the Dunstan Cemetery, Scarborough. Memorial contributions may be made in Don's honor to the Animal Welfare Society of West Kennebunk, 46 Holland Road, Kennebunk, ME 04043.
Obituary:
Donald M. Roth, Sr. passed away on February 2, 2015 at his home on Wildwood Drive. He was born in Bath, PA on October 15, 1943 the son of Wilson and Pearl Fehnel Roth.
Donald graduated from Northampton High School in Pennsylvania in 1961 and went into the Air Force in January 1962. He was then stationed at Pease Air Force Base where he met his wife Glen Ellen Mehlman. They would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on February 15th. Don then worked at the Portsmouth Naval Ship Yard until 1967. He became a long-haul tractor-trailer driver, a job he loved for 38 years. He hauled for St. Johnsbury Trucking Co., Inc. for 25 years then went to work for R.C. Moore until he retired. Don was a proud member of Teamsters Union Local 340.
Don served as the president of Saco Little League for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially entertaining his grandchildren when they were young. He enjoyed attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. He loved snowmobiling and was a fan of cars and racing. Don was an avid newspaper reader.
Donald was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Fehnel.
He is survived by his wife Glen Ellen Roth, his son Donald Roth, Jr. and his wife Kimberly and their daughters Lindsey Ann Atkinson and her husband Aaron and Lisa Tripp and her husband Mike; his daughter Lorali (Lori) Roth Smith and her husband Carl and their sons Dylan and Andrew;
his brother Roy W. Roth and his wife Gloria; brothers-in-law Warren Fehnel and Gordon Mehlman and his wife Kathy; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, as well as great and great-great nieces and nephews.

So very sorry to hear about Don.We have always enjoyed him as a neighbor and a good friend.He always had a smile on his face and time to talk to anyone.He will be greatly missed.So sorry Bob and Clara
