Obituary:
Gorham – Bertha Butman Heacock, 88, passed away on January 20, 2015 at the Gorham House. She was born on July 14, 1926 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Frank and Harriet McLucas Butman. Bertha attended Nasson College for one year then transferred and graduated from Westchester State College in Pennsylvania with a degree in teaching. Bertha taught for many years in Pennsylvania and Delaware. She was known for her love of teaching.
She was predeceased by her husband Leonard and a sister Lorenza Piper.
Survivors include her 3 sons, 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
