Obituary:
Kathleen Frances (Tetreault) Tompkins, 80, a recent resident of 75 State Street, Portland ME, formerly of Boxborough, MA, died peacefully on January 20, 2015 with her children at her side.

A native of Greenfield, MA, Kathleen was born on July 31, 1934 to John and Gertrude (Johnson) Tetreault. She was educated in the former Holy Trinity Parochial School and Greenfield public schools, a graduate of GHS in the Class of 1952. She went on to further her education by attending the former Northampton Commercial College, Northampton, MA, graduating in 1954 with a certificate in business and secretarial science.

Kathleen was an avid sports fan, especially of the Boston Red Sox. On the 100th Anniversary of Fenway Park, a commemorative brick was placed in her name at the stadium. She also loved to spend time in Gloucester on the ocean with her late long-time partner Dexter Loring. Kathleen loved all animals and was devoted to her pets and the feeding of wild birds. She was well loved by many and made friends easily with her sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and generosity.

She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Mark Tompkins and his wife Sharon of Overland Park, KS; Kim McInnis and her husband Michael of Portland, ME; and Suzanne Callen of Atlanta, GA. Additionally she leaves step-daughters Joanne Loring and Louise Loring, 6 grandchildren, a brother Paul Tetreault and wife Jane of College Station, TX, a sister, Joan Danyluk and husband Daniel of South Deerfield, MA and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews to remember her with affection.

Kathleen was predeceased by her brothers John, Jr. and Thomas Tetreault.
