CASTINE - Teresa G. Macomber Mooney passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 10, 2014. Known affectionately as T, she went with love, fire, and humor in her heart. T was born July 30, 1960, in Pineville, West Virginia, to David Williams and Gail (Dalton) Macomber. She attended grammar school in Castine and high school in Bucksport. She worked a variety of jobs over the course of her life and owned T & C Grocery for 14 years with her beloved husband, Chuck Mooney. Known for her infectious laugh, kind heart, and sharp wit, anyone who met T had made a friend for life. Her accomplishments were many, but T always said her children were her greatest achievement. She enjoyed traveling to many exotic places with her husband, the love of her life, and spent countless hours at the Back Shore where she found tranquility collecting driftwood and rocks. She is survived by her husband, Chuck Mooney of Castine; her children, Damon Gray and wife Jana, of Orlando, Fl., Elizabeth Bunten and partner Paul Farrell of Portland, Michala Bunten and husband Miguel Mateo Polanco of Portland; and her three grandchildren, Kingston, Gavin, and Avery. She is also survived by her brothers, Michael Macomber of Penobscot, Bill and wife Leah Macomber of Saco; sisters, Lana and husband Scott LaPoint of Penobscot, Anne and husband Alan Kirkpatrick of Newton, Pa., Ida and husband Charles Ryan of West Palm Beach, Fl.; as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. T was predeceased by her step-father, William F. Macomber Sr., and niece Amber Joye Macomber. A celebration of Tís life will be held in her honor on Saturday, July 19, 2014, from 3-5 pm, at the home of William F. Macomber Sr., 153 Court St., Castine, ME.
