Obituary:
On Thursday, May 8th, Karen (Klotz) Nielsen peacefully sang the last measure of her beautiful song of life. From July 29th 1947 when she took her first breath, to Thursday when she took her last, the lyrics of her song were ones of kindness, wisdom, fierce resolve, humor and love. She sang her healing songs as the daughter of Alma, a mother of Kira (Merrills) and Daniel; as the wife of Douglas, a grand-mother of Abel and Lucia, and as a Physical Therapist for 43 years.

Dear Alma, I was saddened and shocked to read of Karen's passing in the paper. May the many memories the two of you shared as mother and daughter be a comfort to you at this very sad time. Karen's love and spirit will be reflected in her children and grandchildren. May you find comfort in one another. I will keep you in my prayers. LuAnn (Williams) Noll, Lehighton, Pa

Emily and I are so sad to bid farewell to a great friend and wonderful caregiver. We have cherished memories of her and will miss her smile deeply. Words cannot describe the loss of such a great person. We grieve with you Doug, Daniel, Kira and Alma. Let your hearts be filled with the knowledge that she left this world a better place.
