Visiting hours will be on Wednesday April 9 from 1-2 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Road) in Buxton (Bar Mills). A funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 2PM.

Obituary:
ETNA- Irene Nellie Bragdon, age 86, formerly of Standish, passed away on April 5, 2014 at her son’s home in Etna.
She was born in Westbrook on May 11, 1927, a daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Susie (Berry) Gemmell.
After attending Westbrook schools, Irene went on to work at the Dana Warp Mill and S.D. Warren in Westbrook. Irene concluded her working years as a C.N.A. and was employed at Devonshire Manor in Portland.
She enjoyed participating in neighborhood activities, camping, bowling, reading, and spending time with family.
She is predeceased by her husband- Richard Bragdon; son- Harold “Bub” Bilodeau; brother- Arthur Gemmell Jr.; and sisters- Gertrude MacDonald, Jeannette Dibiase and Evelyn Stilkey.
Irene is survived by her children- Roland Bilodeau Jr. of FL, Richard Bilodeau and his wife Susan of Etna, Carol Boudreau and her husband Don of SC, and Katrina Thomas of Standish; brother- Charles Gemmell of Westbrook; sisters- Lilly Charles of Westbrook, Doris Colello of Hollis; eleven grandchildren; and twenty one great grandchildren.
