Visitation Information:
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Jan. 11, from 10-11 AM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). A Masonic service followed by a funeral service will immediately follow at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Rd., Hollis

Obituary:
HOLLIS- Daniel Lewis Clay, age 71, of High St., passed away on Jan. 7, 2012 in Scarborough.
He was born in Portland, Maine on Nov. 16, 1940, the only child of the late Herman and Ethel (Plummer) Clay.
After graduating from SD Hanson High School he went on to work in the manufacturing industry and retired after 30 + years of service at Nichols in Portland as an inventory controller.
Years ago, Daniel was active in the Jaycees, Buxton Grange and was a volunteer firefighter with the West Buxton Fire Department. For many years, he has been an active member of Buxton Masonic Lodge #115 AF & AM.
He enjoyed going up to his camp in Winn, Maine and many outdoor activities such as fishing, vegetable gardening, bird and squirrel feeding, traveling and being a woodsman in general. He was also talented in making walking sticks, whittling, drawing, and painting.
Being with his beloved family and giving his great grandchildren four wheeler rides is what he will be forever remembered by.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Betsy (Files) Clay; son- Blaine Clay of Buxton; daughter- Lori Marston and her husband Cory of Buxton; grandchildren- Cynthia Russell and her husband Abel, Stephen Marston and Michael Marston; four great grandchildren; and many distant relatives and friends.
Danielís family would like to thank the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Wade and Ernestine Junkins, Barry and Beth Plummer, Reg and Sandra Plummer, Joan Plummer, Robert Files and his wife Lisette and Lynn Hughes and her husband Harold for their caring and support.
