The family would like to give special thanks for their care and consideration for Karen while she was fighting a battle with Cancer to Tracey Weisburg and her staff at the Maine Center for Cancer Medicine

Karen E. Allen, 60, of Rockland Drive, Old Orchard Beach, passed away December 29, 2013 after a two year and half battle with breast cancer at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough with her family by her side.
She was born in Portland, Maine, August 2, 1953, the daughter of John and Eleanor Wood Littlejohn.
She graduated from Portland High School in 1971 and worked for many years at Humpty Dumpty Potato Chip in Scarborough in the office. Most recently, worked for Nichols in Portland as an administrative assistant.
She’s been a long time resident of Old Orchard Beach. She enjoyed spending time with her family and at the beach.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John Allen of Old Orchard Beach, her father, John Littlejohn of Old Orchard Beach, a son, John E. Allen of Old Orchard Beach and his wife Kelley, two daughters, Lisa Koffler of South Carolina and her husband, Harold, Amy Cloutier of Arundel and her husband, Trevor, a brother, James Littlejohn of Westbrook, six grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, Trevor, Gavin, Hailey, Hope and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her mother, a sister, Janice and a brother, Dennis.

My thoughts and prayers are with you John and family during this difficult time. Karen was such a good hearted person. We are all inspired how positive she remained. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
