Visiting Hours will be held from 5 to 8pm, on Sunday November 17 at Dennett, Craig and Pate Funeral home located at 365 Main St., Saco, ME.
A graveside service will be held 10:30am the following day at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Lewiston, ME.

Henry T. “Hank” Siudmak, 84, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine died on November 7, 2013, after a brief illness. He was born October 25,1929 to Agneska (Kupizweski) and Joseph Siudmak in Garfield, NJ. He began his studies in piano at age seven, graduated Garfield High School in 1946 and later graduated from Fordham University, College of Pharmacy, Bronx, NY.
After being employed by several pharmacies, while residing in Bloomfield, NJ, he became the first-ever pharmacist at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Montclair, NJ in 1954. On June 25,1956, he married Olivette “Holly” Laverdiere of Lewiston, ME and resided in Upper Montclair, NJ until her passing in 1981. Three children, Gary, Michele and Paul, were born of this marriage with the passing of Gary early in infancy.
Mr. Siudmak was Chief of Pharmacy for 29 years at St. Vincent’s Hospital until it’s closing in 1983, where he was transferred to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson, NJ. There he met his wife of 22 years, Carmen Garcia, Marrying on November 2,1991. After his retirement in 1992, they moved to Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
Among his milestones, Henry, a fairly accomplished classical pianist, accompanied a 60 piece accordion orchestra at Carnegie Hall in NYC. An owner of harness race horses for 9 years, he continued his love of horseracing by frequenting Scarborough Downs in Maine where he forged close friendships. Hank’s engaging story telling was not to be outdone by his commitment to his successful completion of countless NY Times crossword puzzles.
Henry’s most memorable times included numerous family vacations in Maine, watching their horses train and race, and celebrating Christmas family traditions. A particular highlight Hank shared with Carmen, his devoted wife and personal translator, was their unforgettable trip to Spain. He will be forever loved and missed by his family.
He was pre deceased in death by his parents, an infant son, Gary, and his wife, Olivette (Laverdiere) Siudmak.
He is survived by his wife Carmen, of Old Orchard Beach, ME; a brother, Dr. John Siudmak of Cedar Grove, NJ; a daughter, Michele (Siudmak) Dussault and her husband Paul of Saco, ME; a son, Paul Siudmak and his wife Adlin “Ali” of Ovieda, FL; stepdaughters, Sandra Garcia of Newark, NJ and Susan Garcia of Vestal, NY; grandchildren: Alexis Rivera, Joseph Dussault, Olivette “Holly” Siudmak, Samuel Dussault and Lawrence Siudmak; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
