Obituary:
SACO- Margaret “Peg” Whitaker, of Saco, died on October 20, 2013 at her home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
She was born in Bellows Falls, VT and graduated from Brattleboro Union High School and The Elms College in Chicopee, MA.
She worked for Attorney Ralph Austin of the Law Office of Woodman, Edmunds, Danlyk, and Austin for well over two decades in spite of her failing health.
Married to David Whitaker, they had one son, Erik, who proudly serves as a Chief Petty Officer in the US Navy. David and Erik were the shining stars of her life and Peg always selflessly put family and friends before herself.
She will always be remembered for her great love of all animals and how they loved her, especially her Morgan horse, “Buddy”
Uncharacteristic of her calm, quiet demeanor, Peg was an avid NASCAR and hockey fan.
She will be greatly missed but certainly never forgotten by all who loved her, both human and animal.
She unconditionally loved her family, her friends, her animals, and her career and gave tirelessly of herself to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path.
She is survived her beloved husband- David Whitaker; son- Erik Whitaker; brother- Fr. Augustinowitz; sisters- Mary McCarthy and Kathleen Rodowitz; and three grandchildren.

Dear Dave, I didn't know Peg, but through you I have a sense of her courage, kindness and capacity to both give and receive love. You are an icon of devotion and steadfast caring for your wife, and I can only imagine that she inspired that in you. The relationship you had enriched all those around you, and will continue to spread goodness, healing and peace throughout the world. I bless her memory and your love for her, and pray that you know both how blessed you are and what a blessing you are. with love, Candy
