An hour of visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 5-6 PM followed by a funeral service officiated by Rev. Dan Carr at 6 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd.) in Buxton (Bar Mills). www.DCPate.com

Obituary:
DAYTON- Pauline “Polly” S. Bruns, age 87, passed away on Nov. 3, at the VA Hospice Center at Togus.
She was born on June 24, 1924 in York, Maine, the only child of Charles and Mary (Card) Seaward.
She is a 1942 graduate of Hollis High School and went on to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps during WWII.
After being honorably discharged, Polly went on to work at Edwards and Walker in Portland for 15 years.
Polly was a charter member of the Goodwins Mills Rescue and also served on the Bar Mills Rescue for many years. She was a member of the Bar Mills Community Church, and was a longtime member of Pleasant River Chapter #159 – Order of the Eastern Star.
Everyone who knew Polly knew of the enjoyment she had with music. Polly was an accomplished organist and played at the Bar Mills Community Church, the Tory Hill Church, and Dennett-Craig & Pate Funeral Homes to name a few. Polly also enjoyed handicrafts, reading and cooking.
She is survived by her children- C. Warren King of Hollis, Joyce A. Bruns of Georgia, Kathleen “Kathy” Bruns of Waterville, Linda Thompson of Auburn, Jacqueline Grano of Auburn and Russell Bruns; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
