Obituary:
Alma Fenton Hartford Libby, 102, of Green Street, Saco, passed away and went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough.

She was born March 16, 1910 in Barrington, New Hampshire, the daughter of William and Maria Pearson Hartford. She married her husband, Edmond, in 1933 in New Hampshire.

Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved crafts and cooking and up to 101 years old, was still knitting and crocheting many hundreds of hats and mittens for children in need. She sewed prayer blankets and quilts for her church and baked for the church fairs and suppers. She also spent her last 25 years helping out in her grandson’s flower shop.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edmond, her son, George T. Libby and daughter-in-law, June.

She is survived by her grandson, Thomas Libby and his partner, Susan Dube; step granddaughters, Linda McCabe and Elizabeth Archambault; nieces, Dawn Varney and Mary and Richard Monroe; and great niece and nephew, Kim and Hollis.

Many thanks to Carol and Ray Boughner for their 40 years of friendship, love, and kindness to her.
