Friends and relatives may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate funeral home 365 Main St, Saco. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
Spring internment at South Buxton Cemetery.

Obituary:
Biddeford, Joseph Jefferies Tarbox Jr,, 86, resident of Biddeford passed away on Sunday January 13 at the Southridge Living Center. He was born April 21, 1926 in Biddeford Maine. He was the son of Joseph J. Tarbox and Mabel E. Norwood. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph, his mother Mabel and his brother Donald.
He attended Biddeford schools and enlisted in the US Navy April 20, 1944 and left on April 21, 1944 on his 18th birthday. Joseph Jr. enlisted exactly 26 years after his father enlisted in the US Navy during the First World War He was most proud of his service for his country. His ship the USS Springfield was protecting the Presidentís ship in the Panama Canal, while he was signing the Peace Treaty. Joseph and two of his ship buddies became lifelong friends. They continued to see each other through the year and went to almost every USS Springfield ship reunion. He was honorably discharged May 24th 1946.
Joseph was a mechanic at Ed and Franks Chevrolet for many years. He also drove school bus and was a snow plow driver for the roads at Biddeford Pool. He was also the chief of the Biddeford Pool Fire Department.
After his retirement, he and Priscilla traveled a lot around the country. Between traveling to different states, line dancing and his ship reunions, they were able to see many states and sights. He will be sadly missed by friends, neighbors and family.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Priscilla, a daughter Gloria Bennett and her husband Stanley of Kennebunk and a daughter Theresa Valliere and her husband William of Dayton, He also leaves one brother Robert, grandchildren , great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

The Rand Family is very sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He has been greatly missed by all of us during the past few summers. Tell Pat we are all thinking and praying for her. We will try and bring mom up for the wake or funeral service.
