A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Laurel Hill Cemetery at 293 Beach, St., Saco, Maine of Thursday, January 3rd at 1 PM by Rev. Dr, Burton Howe of United Baptist Church of Saco.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Welfare Society, Holland Road, P.O. Box 43, West Kennebunk, ME 04093-0043 or Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, 11 Hunnewell Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074.

Obituary:
Marion Raymond-Orchard-Davis, 92 Passed away peacefully on December 23, 2012 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough, ME.
She was born January 27, 1920 in Portland, ME to Charles Raymond and Alfa Glidden Raymond of Mars Hill, ME. Marion Graduated from South Portland High School in 1938. She graduated as a hair beautician after high school. She cut hair while Vernon Orchard served in the Air Force during WW11. She was married to the love of her life Vernon A. Orchard, until he passed away in 1987, after forty five years. They lived and worked in Malden and Wakefield, Mass for many years. In 1964 they moved to Old Orchard Beach, ME to take over her retiring parents game concessions on the Old Orchard Beach Duffy Pier for over 20 years. Marion and Vernon loved working for themselves at the game concessions.
In 1965 Marion and Vernon Orchard had four winters working at Vernon and Marion’s Pizza and Sandwich Shop on Washington Ave, Old Orchard Beach. Also during the 1960’s and 1970’s, she and Vernon did the Fryeburg, Cumberland, North New Portland, Tunbridge, Vermont and Deerfield, NH fairs in the fall.
Marion was also employed at Whitmore Feeds, Walton, Mass, back in the early 1960’s for many years.
During retirement years Marion and Vernon loved to travel to Florida and Bermuda on bus tours. When Vernon passed away, after several years she married Norman F. Norman Davis of Old Orchard Beach, a friend and HAM operator of Vernon’s. Until Norman’s death in 2004, at the age of 94, Marion and Norman enjoyed watching Red Sox games together. They also went on bus tours to Florida, Atlantic City and other short trips.
Marion had a good and active life. She was active in the Woman’s Auxiliary American Legion # 57 of Old Orchard Beach. Marion was lucky and loved playing BINGO at the Old Orchard Beach American Legion on Mondays and Saturday evenings. She was a member for many years of Order of the Eastern Star of Portland and Old Orchard Beach. She loved to read, watch television, sew and listen to her favorite music. Marion met Vernon, when she was 18 years old. Vernon working in the summer at the Old Orchard Beach train station, Marion loved to dance with Vernon to the “Big Band Era” out on the Old Orchard Beach Duffy Pier in the early 1940’s, dressing up in long ball gowns. Even when she married Norman Davis, they both loved to dance.
She is survived by her daughter Sylvia G. Orchard of Old Orchard Beach, her two sisters Pauline (Raymond) Cockerille of Old Orchard Beach and Phyllis (Raymond) Koepp of Bowie, Maryland, 2 Nieces Donna (Cockerille) Gonneville of Dayton, Detti (Koepp) Johnson of Bryant Pond, ME, Nephew Dean Koepp of Bowie, Maryland, Grandnieces Tammy (Gonneville) Pisani of Dayton, Kelly (Gonneville) Stone, Dayton, Loti (Gonneville) Boilard of Abington, Mass, Grandnephews Thomas Gonneville, Steve Gonneville of Dayton and many other relatives and dear friends. Marion loved her kitties, Susie, Teddy, also Missy and dog Yankee “Doodles”. She will be sadly missed by them.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Gosnell Memorial Hospice, Scarborough for their loving care. Also thank Truslow Adult Day Health Center, Lincoln St., Saco for their special care to Marion.
