Old Orchard Beach - David Marshall 71 passed away peacefully with the Hospice angels and other dedicated angels, who made his end of life much easier after a long illness with COPD and then COVID.
David grew up in Old Orchard Beach and attended local schools and North Yarmouth Academy. He enjoyed working for the telephone company and life guarding during tourist (Canadian girls) season. David was a shrewd business owner of the Beach Lobster and Farmstand. He built his business from scratch starting with fruit and vegetables, then adding plants and lobsters. His stand became an icon in the Town of Old Orchard Beach. He took great pride in selling a top-notch product. Dave would express his appreciation to his friends, family and business associates for a great season with a very impressive lobster bake every Labor Day for years until he wasnít well. They were amazing!
Davidís absolute favorite wind down activities after working hard all summer were hunting and fishing with his buddies here in Maine and as far away as Alaska. He spent many a day visiting friends in Florida where he fished and enjoyed life in general. He loved to travel from the time he was young (Europe) throughout the years. He sailed to Florida, the Virgin Islands and Tahiti. He motorcycled the west visiting canyons and California. He also went on the adventure of a lifetime to Peru with his cousin Billy. He never stopped talking about that trip which took him to mountains, deserts, and jungles.
David was predeceased by his parents David and Eleanor Marshall, his sister Cheryl Bilodeau, his brother Scott Marshall and his Black Labs Bella and Bella.
He is survived by his sister Crystal Marshall and her partner Tom Foley and sister Pamela Angelo and her husband Michael, his son Chris Tilton and granddaughter Lilly Tilton, as well as many nephews.
