Obituary:
Laurie (Lavallee) Gould unexpectedly left our earthly tether, but her laughter, kindness and loving spirit enriched the lives of all that knew her and continues to buoy our souls.
Laurie is lovingly remembered by her adoring soul mate, Andrew Gould (or "Drew" as only she called him) and her "beyond their years mature" two sons, Zackery & Joshua Gould, all of Nashua, NH; her nurturing parents, Normand & Mary Lavallee of Nashua, NH; her supportive, little sister, Sharon Pecoraro and her husband Stephen Pecoraro of Nashua, NH; her hardworking, wise brother, Matthew Lavallee and his wife, Dora Lavallee of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; her resilient Mother in law, Cecile Gould, of Bedford, NH (formerly of Boca Raton, FL); her gracious Brother in laws: Ken Gould and his wife Suzanne Aguilar of Londonderry, NH and Dave Benjamin of Elmsford, NY; her many beloved nephews, nieces and grandnephews: Jason Pecoraro of Nashua, NH; Chris Lavallee and his wife Nicole Lavallee of Austin, TX; Nick Lavallee of Santa Monica, CA; Bret Bicknell of Phoenix, AZ; Sam Gould and his wife Monica, of Melrose, MA,; Hannah Gould of Londonderry, NH; Jack Benjamin of Los Angeles, CA; Sarah Benjamin of New York City; Scott Benjamin of Elmsford, NH; and (last but not least) Maurisa & Zach Lindstedt of Nashua, NH and their toddler sons, Killian & Bronson Lindstedt (spitting images of Laurie's sons); and many devoted uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Laurie was born, raised and reared in the welcoming city of Nashua, NH. She attended local Catholic schools and graduated from Mount St. Mary's high school in 1982. She was then educated at Plymouth State University, where she received a degree in Marketing and Business in 1986. She was a sister of the Delta Zeta sorority there and enjoyed her leadership role as Pledge Master, or "Gate Keeper" as Drew liked to call it. Laurie was a "social butterfly", loving life most when she was with family and her network of friends, whether longtime ones from her childhood and college, her work life or just people she would her shine her luminous personality upon in her daily interactions.
Laurie loved math and worked at banks her whole life, starting as a teenager and running the Nashua Federal Savings branch at Pheasant Lane Mall in the 80's. She excelled at the banker's life, and became Vice President at Fleet Bank as a specialist in credit card merchant sales for NH and Maine. For almost the past decade, she has thrived at St. Mary's Bank with its uplifting business culture. After meeting "Drew" in 1996 at La Bec Rouge in Hampton, they swept each other away in a whirlwind romance, marrying each other in Sept. 1997 at The Dockside in York, Maine, with the cannon blasting off into the Atlantic Ocean. In 1998 and 2000 their bushy tailed, bright eyed sons were born and Laurie dove into giving her all to their well-being, growth and love of everyone and everything.
Laurie's greatest passion was cooking and food, from preparing meals for her family in her girl/young woman days, to whipping up unique recipes with our own flair, off recipe for Drew, Zack and Josh. Laurie's other special interests involved interior decorating/painting; cards and cribbage; knitting; tennis; gardening/weed-whacking; pet-caring; all things mystical; and most of all, loving her family.
