A graveside service will be held this Friday, Oct. 5, at 1 PM at Flander’s Cemetery, Long Plains Road in Buxton. Pastor Lynn Briggs will officiate and members of Buxton Masonic Lodge #115 will service as an honor guard.

Obituary:
BUXTON- Harvey Bernard Waterman, age 91, of Parker Farm Road, passed away at his home on Sept. 30, 2012, surrounded by family.
He was born in Buxton, Maine on Jan. 24, 1921, a son of the late James and Susie (Smith) Waterman.
He attended and graduated from schools in Buxton and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army in World War II. During his years in the Army, Harvey served in Europe and received the Bronze Star, Victory Medal, and Good Conduct Medal.
Afterwards, Harvey worked for 25 years as a truck mechanic and burner service technician for Dixon Bros. Oil Co. Later he retired from USM, working in maintenance and as an electrician.
Harvey was raised as a Master Mason in Buxton Masonic Lodge #115 AF&AM on Nov. 5, 1956, making him nearly a fifty six year member.
He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and woodworking.
He is predeceased by his siblings- Carl Waterman, Alice Arsenault, Letty Waterman, and Evelyn Waterman.
Harvey is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years- Violet “Peggy” (Ingram) Waterman; daughter- Belinda Nicolas and her husband Tony of Limington; and his grandson- Anthony “Scott” Cressey of Limington.
