Richard Dow Richard "Dick" Eugene Dow - age: 67
(December 28, 1944 to September 18, 2012 )
Resident of Buxton, Maine

Visitation Information:
Visitation will be held on Monday Sept. 24, from 11AM – 1 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1 PM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts. 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Burial will follow at South Buxton Cemetery next to his parents and brother with military honors.

Obituary:
BUXTON- Richard “Dick” Eugene Dow, age 67, of Parker Farm Road, passed away on Sept. 18, 2012 at his home.
He was born in Hartland, Maine on Dec. 28, 1944, a son of the late Lawrence and Irene (Lamb) Dow.
After graduating from high school, Richard went on to proudly serve in the US Army. He served with the Green Berets 7th Special Forces Group-Airborne in the Dominican Republic in the 1960’s with the rank of Sergeant.
In later years, he attended Plymouth State College.
Richard was a New Hampshire State Trooper for 10 years and later went on to serve as the Police Chief in Whitefield, NH.
He was a member of Olive Branch Masonic Lodge AF & AM.
Richard enjoyed yard work, woodworking, and building radio controlled model planes.
He is predeceased by his brother- Russell Dow in 2010.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife- Sylvia (Daniels) Dow; step children- Helena Moody, Thomas Jordan, Daniel Jordan and his wife Cathy, and Paul Jordan and his wife Jessie; and many dear friends and neighbors.
