Friends may call from 12-1 pm, Sat, Jan. 11, 2020 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 76 Sewall St, Island Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 pm with Father Kent Ouellette officiating. Her interment will be held at the Patten Cemetery in the Spring.
Obituary:
ATTEN - Agnes G. Howes, 101, passed away January 1, 2020 in Buxton with her family by her side. She was born in October of 1918 in Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, the daughter of Charles & Madeline.
Agnes enjoyed a 30 year career with the Patten Grammar School as a teacher and 41 years as the organist in her church choir. She belonged to the Patten Women's Club and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church Sodality. Agnes enjoyed reading, painting, arts and crafts, playing the piano and travel.
She is survived by her sons: Austin, John, Kevin, Chris and Bill; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Halladay.
