Visitation Information:
A funeral service will be held this Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 AM at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, located on the corners of Rts 202 and 4A (13 Portland Rd) in Buxton (Bar Mills). Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Rd., in Hollis. Pastor Will Rankin will officiate.

Obituary:
HOLLIS- Marlene “Marilyn” Elane Quinn, age 74, of Plains Road, passed away in the early morning on Sept. 10, 2012.
She was born in Hollis, Maine on June 8, 1938, a daughter of the late Herbert Sr. and Elizabeth (Emery) Maddox.
Prior to graduating from Hollis High School, Marilyn worked at the Portland City Hospital and went on to work in several positions as a nurse’s aide over the years.
Fall was Marilyn’s favorite time of the year. It was during this time that she was able to enjoy fairs around the State and apple picking.
Cooking for family and friends and helping those who were in need was especially important to her. Harness racing at Scarborough Downs was another pastime of Marilyn’s.
She is predeceased by her husband- John H. Quinn in 2011; and siblings- Brenda Cederfeldt, Herbert Maddox Jr., Gordon Maddox, and Marjorie Gervais.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter- Kelly Quinn of Hollis; siblings- Arnold Maddox and his wife Kay, Gloria Sawyer, Georgia Drew and her companion Frank Pease, Lorraine Anderson and her husband Andy, and Thelma Murray and her husband Jack; a granddaughter- Katie Quinn; and many nieces and nephews.
