Obituary:
Richard “Dick” Foley, of Biddeford, Maine, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019, in his home. Dick spread laughter everywhere he lived and worked, from his childhood home in South Portland to his long career in the Portland restaurant industry. His warmth and wit made it easy for strangers to quickly become good friends, and his legendary chuckle suffused the lives of those friends with joy and kindness.
He was the youngest of Bill and Irene Foley’s four children; thus, he possessed a lifelong youthful spirit embroidered with a touch of mischief that won the hearts of everyone who knew him. Dick loved his family and many friends as well as the dogs who were his companions and best friends throughout his life.
Dick loved to travel, read History, cook fine meals, and of course follow the Red Sox and the Patriots.
Dick is survived by his sister, Denise McCarthy and his brother, Robert Foley. His eldest brother, William Foley, died in 2009. Dick also leaves behind a niece and nephews who adore him.

Dick, We were very close friends who lived 2gether for twelve yrs. Ur the bestest friend I eva had... who I also loved like a father figure. U were a very amazin person... who had the biggest heart of gold & best personality & sense of humour than anyone I eva known❤️It brakes my heart that u not here anymore😢I’m more hurt & depressd than I eva been, bc I miss u very much😢I will always love u & keep our memories n my heart 4eva❤️❤️❤️
