Visitation will be on Saturday Sept. 8, from 11 AM 12 noon at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., in Saco followed by a funeral service at noon the funeral home. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Obituary:
OLD ORCHARD BEACH- Clifton J. Hare, 99, died peacefully on Sept. 5, 2012, in his sleep with his beloved wife Ruth P. Hare by his side. He and his wife of 76 years lived together in Old Orchard Beach, Maine.
He was born in Monticello, Maine, on January 19, 1913 to the parents of William and Viola (Jewell) Hare. He was predeceased by his two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Hare is survived by his wife, Ruth P. (Orser) Hare; son, Stephen C. Hare and his wife Dianne E. (Whitworth) Hare of Leicester, MA; 7 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Clifton also leaves behind his nephew; Peter and Katherine Greene of Buxton, ME, and several nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his son, Gary W. Hare in 1991.
Clifton lived in Leicester, MA for 30 years before retiring and moving to Maine, where he spent his time enjoying the company of his wife, watching baseball, and spending time with family and friends. Prior to his retirement, he was a machinist at Cose Knife Company.
