A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 11 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Road in Hollis.

WESTBROOK- Dorothy Louise Elswick, age 82, of Liza Harmon Dr., passed away on Sept. 3, 2012 at the Barron Center in Portland after a battle with cancer.
Prior to living at the Barron Center, Dorothy lived with her son Dana Elswick in Standish.
She was born in Portland on Sept. 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Maurice and Edith (Cobb) Leibowitz.
After graduating from Portland High School, Dorothy went on to begin her career in healthcare.
Over the years she worked at many facilities, including the Eunice Frye Nursing Home, Park Danforth, and Dolly Brook Farm Nursing Home. In her later working years, she completed courses and received the CRMA certification.
Dorothy was a Sunday School Teacher when she lived in Lynn, MA and sang in the Chestnut Street United Methodist Church in Portland.
She enjoyed baking birthday and wedding cakes, sewing, playing Bingo, gardening, and knitting.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband- Bernard Elswick; sons- Roger and Dennis Elswick; daughters- Donna Faye - infant and Debbie Elswick; and a brother- Robert Libby.
She is survived by her son- Dana Elswick of Standish, ME, formerly of Lynn, MA; daughter- Dorene Elswick of FL; brother- Harry Edwin Libby of Standish,; sister- Kathryn Doughty of Westbrook; five grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; step brothers- David Sawyer, Stephen Sawyer and Ray Veilleux; step sister- Judith Danis and her husband Robert; and many dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 11 AM at Hillcrest Cemetery, Plains Road in Hollis.
Arrangements are with Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home - Buxton
