I was so sorry to hear of Phyllis' death. I just returned home after being away a week and read her obituary in the paper. I wish so much to have been able to be with everyone at her funeral. Julie, our oldest daughter, remembered Phyllis as her "Phyllis Diller" which Phyllis thought was so funny. And by coincidence, "Phyllis Diller's" obituary was in the same paper as Phyllis Emery. Our other two girls were too young to remember Phyllis when she babysat for us when we went away when our girls were young. Phyllis was an "angel" when she helped so many people in our family -- my mother, grandmother and many others. Such a compassionate, wonderful person she was. My condolences go out to you all -- Karen, Ralph, Elizabeth, Lena and all the grandchildren. Paul sends his best as well.
