A memorial service will be held Saturday December 1, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Sea Road Church PO Box 236, Kennebunk, Maine 04043 with Paul Gant officiating.

Obituary:
Kennebunk, David J. Crook, 81 of Alewive Road passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.
He was born in Boston, MA March 6, 1937 the son of Carleton and Madeline Handy Crook.
David attended Boston schools and then graduated from Christian High School. He received a BS from Northeastern University and then a Masters degree from the Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from both schools. While at The Wharton School, he was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society.
David served in the USAR and achieved the rank of Captain.
His employment included working for Arthur Anderson in Boston, Components Inc. in Biddeford, and Crook and Associates, CPA in Saco.
David was a member (juried) and Treasurer for the Art Guild of Kennebunk. He received Best of Show, Photography, at Art Guild of the Kennebunk’s exhibitions in August of 2012 and June of 2013. He also received first prize for his cover photo from the Portland Press Herald in “ Vacation Maine”.
David was the Chairman for the Kennebunk Budget Board, Treasurer for the Brick Store Museum, Treasurer for the Sea Road Church and Treasurer for the Community Outreach Service Inc.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years Janet Crook of Kennebunk, a son Daniel Crook and wife Suree of Arundel, a daughter Kimberly Crook of Kennebunk, a daughter- in- law Katheryn Henning Crook of Kennebunk, a sister Marilyn Avery of New Boston, NH, granddaughter Grace and grandson Tyler.
He is predeceased by a son Jonathan Crook and 2 brothers Carleton L and Richard W Crook.

I have known Dave for 40 years. He has been both a business adviser and a friend. I will miss his smiling face. So sorry for the great loss to all his family and friends. He was a wonderful, caring and generous soul.
