Obituary:
South Portland - Richard D. Giles, 61, of Broadway passed away Friday September 21, 2018 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.
He was born in Bangor July 12, 1957 the son of Elmer and Mary Sargent Giles.
He graduated from Bangor High School.
Richard was employed for over 35 years with Fairchild Semiconductor in South Portland.
He enjoyed camp and loud music. He was a life time fan of the New York Giants, Boston Red Sox and NASCAR.
Survivors include his mother of Milford, his wife of 16 years Susan Giles of South Portland, 3 sons Lee Giles of South Portland, Travis Giles of Florida, and Shane Giles of Windham, a step son Philip DeWever of Portland, a brother Brian Giles of Milford, and 7 grandchildren.
