Obituary:
Arnold “Arnie” Goldman, 88, of Hill Street, Biddeford passed away tragically Monday, April 2, 2018 in Biddeford. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts July 26, 1929, the son of Maurice and Anna Bluhm Goldman.
Arnie moved to Kennebunk, Maine at a very young age and graduated from Kennebunk High School where he played football and baseball before going to work for the family businesses, Arlen Box Company and Savon Shoes, where he kept generations of people from the Kennebunks and surrounding towns employed, allowing for a vibrant, healthy, deeply connected community. Throughout his life, he was always most generous to those in need.
Arnie was very involved with the Salvation Army and Rotary Club. He enjoyed, skiing, playing golf, tennis, dancing and being very social.
He survived by his two daughters Jody Goldman of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Amy Goldman of Adger, Alabama, and his former wife Barbara Goldman of Ogunquit, Maine.
