David Anthony Kochis - age: 68

An hour of visitation will be held on Wednesday May 30th from 12 noon to 1 PM, followed by a 1 PM funeral service at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
LIMINGTON- David Anthony Kochis, age 68, of Boothby Road, died peacefully at his home, with his loving wife, Joyce, and his family at his side on May 27, 2012.
He was born in Biddeford, Maine on June 3, 1943, a son of George and Elenora (Toton) Kochis.
David attended Thornton Academy and graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School in later years.
For many years, David worked as a machinist at Saco Defense. He retired in 1999 after 10 years as a correctional officer at the Windham Correctional Center.
In his daughter Christineís younger years, David enjoyed taking her to the Gray fish hatchery, where she enjoyed feeding the fish and animals. In later years, he also enjoyed going to Fenway Park with his son, Jeff, to enjoy Red Sox games. During retirement years, David loved going out on his boat on Casco Bay, catching striped bass with his wife Joyce, his favorite fishing partner, at his side. David also loved traveling with Joyce on many trips to Las Vegas, Disney World, Foxwoods, and a Caribbean cruise. He made many friends playing cards, and they considered him an excellent Texas Holdem player.
David is predeceased by his father George Kochis who passed away in 2004.
He is survived by his beloved wife- Joyce (Bickford) Kochis whom he married in 1988; daughter- Christine Kochis of Oklahoma; son- Jeffrey Kochis of Auburn; mother- Elenora Kochis of Biddeford; brothers- Andrew Kochis of Maryland and Richard Kochis of Michigan; brother-in-law- David Connors of Pittsfield; three grandchildren; and his beloved German Shepherd- Tonka.
