A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4-6 pm at the Camden Seventh-day Adventist Church, 132 Camden Street, Camden. A spring burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 365 Main Street, Saco is entrusted with the arrangements.

Obituary:
Biddeford – Roger F. Brodis, formerly of Camden, passed away on January 18, 2018 at Southern Maine Health Care. He was born in Lincolnville on November 4, 1946, the son of Francis and Marion Milliken Brodis.
Roger graduated from South Lancaster Academy and did his undergraduate studies at Atlantic Union College and graduating with his Master’s in Education from Andrews University in Michigan.
Roger started his teaching career in Michigan, followed by 10 years in Alaska including Fairbanks and Palmer; 15 years at Mile High Academy in Denver, CO; a year at Minnetonka Academy in Minnesota. He left the classroom for 4 years serving as camp director in Arizona, then went back to the classroom to teach in Hawaii. He most recently was teaching at the Florence M. Lombard Christian School in Saco.
He loved mountain climbing. He reached the summit of both Mt. McKinley and Mt. Killamanjaro. He never reached the summit on his climb of Mt. Aconcaqua, as he and his mates rescued a fellow climber suffering from altitude sickness. Roger also loved metal art and body welding work. In his love of the crafts, he made beautiful lamps from wood.
Roger was predeceased by his parents and a brother Richard.
He is survived by his wife Geraldiene “Gerry” Gehring Brodis; his children Crystal Brodis, Eric Brodis and Mark Brodis; step children Seth Andersen, Wayne Brown, Amanda Chalmers and Jillian Dazey; a brother Gary Brodis; 2 sisters Bette Carter and Arleen Cohen; and 12 grandchildren Caitlyn, Sarah, Lilija, Benjamin, Alisanne, Michael, Juniper, Emma, Caleb, Bodhi, Isaac and Olivia.
